About OrgBase
OrgBase exists so that anyone working in amateur sport can check the numbers for themselves.
Why OrgBase exists
Canada has dozens of national, multi-sport and provincial sport organizations. Their financial statements, governance documents and leadership lists are public, but they sit on hundreds of different websites in different formats. Finding, reading and comparing them takes hours.
OrgBase gathers them in one place and labels every figure Verified or Estimate, with its source, so you always know what you can cite.
The founder
OrgBase’s founder is a bilingual management consultant with more than 30 years of experience in leadership, governance, culture building and delivering results. Born and raised in Montréal, he has travelled extensively, across Canada and around the world, to improve sport in Canada.
He served as CEO of Swimming Canada for 11 years, during which the organization became one of the top six swimming countries in the world. He was also Executive Director of Water Polo Canada, and an Olympic Team Manager and Coach at Athens 2004.
An active supporter of sport, he has volunteered and advised with International Federations, other national sport organizations, the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and chaired the Canadian Team Sport Coalition.
He also spent more than a decade in the information technology sector, in acquisitions and global sales at IBM and SAP, earning President’s Club honours at both. A former master instructor for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (formerly the Heart Foundation of Canada), the Lifesaving Society and the Canadian Red Cross, he received the Royal Commonwealth Service Medal of Excellence.
